They say you can never make up for lost sleep but I firmly believe taking a morning to sleep in can make you feel like you’ve made up for lost time.  According to WebMd the short term consequences of not getting enough sleep include: decreased performance and alertness, memory and cognitive impairment, stressful relationships, poor quality of life, and more.  The long term impact is far more severe with things like high blood pressure, obesity, stroke, heart attack, ADD, depression, and more.  So this weekend, schedule some time in your life to get some rest.  Turn off the alarm, give yourself a break from the gym and decide to be okay with a little extra dust in the house.  Give yourself even just an extra hour of rest and you’ll feel recharged and ready for the week ahead.

Have a great weekend!
